1. Where to find durian?

Although each state in Malaysia can produce different varieties of durian, but each state will have its own main durian varieties. For example, Raub, Pahang is mainly rich in D197 Musang King and XO, and Perak is plenty with D24 Sultan. 

1.2 Where to get Musang King durian?

Whenever people mention the small town – Raub, they will think of Musang King. The Ministry of Agriculture confirmed in 2018 that Raub is Musang King's home.

1.3 Where to eat fresh durian in Raub?
There is a lot of durian eating-places in Raub, but the best ones are in Sungai Klau and Sungai Ruan. 1.4 What durian species are most popular in Malaysia?
D197 Musang Kings, arguably the most prestigious durian species on the local market in Malaysia, are commonly grown in durian orchards in Pahang. Its enormous popularity is owing to its delicious flavor and beautiful yellow-brown color and its creamy flesh has a bittersweet aftertaste that lingers on the palate. Its most visible symbols are its pyramid-shaped thorns and the star-shaped pattern at the stem's base. 
Other than that, the second famous durian species is D24. D24, a close rival of the Musang King, is also known as the ‘Sultan’ or ‘D24 Sultan’. Interestingly, before the Musang King was released to the market in the 1990s, D24 was the best-selling durian species. D24 is supposed to taste more subtle than the Musang King, but it has a similar creamy texture and is a suitable choice for durian newcomers. Aside from its yellowish-green flesh, the D24's relatively short stem and prominent brown ring at the bottom are two of its most distinguishing features.
Apart from that, one of the most popular durian kinds is D101. The shell color of D101 durian is olive green or light yellowish-brown in color, and the flesh is in cheerful yellow color. D101 has a delicate flavor profile that is somewhat mildly sweet and buttery, with sour undertones. D101 is a popular choice among durian lovers and children who adore sweet durians!
